Letitia Hays Recognized as Chief Operating Officer of CityDance Productions, Inc.
Letitia (Tish) Hays moved to Washington, DC in 2003 to accept a fellowship award from American University, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Choreography and Performance and a Certificate in Arts Management. While completing her graduate degree, she took an internship with CityDance that has kept her tenured with the organization ever since. Tish traveled with the professional company, under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State, for Middle East, South America and Eastern Europe cultural diplomacy tours. Along with touring and performing, Tish’s most rewarding experiences have been working in the field of Dance Therapy with the Children’s Home Society’s Breaking Free Program: Arts for At Risk Girls, Community Partnership for the Homeless: Kids Interpretive Dance, and Dade Correctional Institution’s Inside Out: Art for Incarcerated Women programs. Tish is a consultant on concert production, studio and theater build-outs, and digital media. She currently holds station as CityDance’s COO, and received the 2012 Woman of the Year award from the National Association of Professional Women for excellence and dedication in the arts.
